Transportation Driver

Role Overview:

Our transportation drivers are key to helping residents stay safe, independent, and connected. Whether it’s getting to a doctor’s appointment, a day program, or a social outing, they make sure every ride is smooth, on time, and comfortable. With a focus on safety and respect, our drivers always show up with a friendly attitude and a commitment to great service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate company or facility vehicles to transport residents

  • Assist elderly clients in and out of vehicles when needed

  • Follow scheduled routes and adapt to changes in real time

  • Ensure vehicle cleanliness and perform regular safety checks

  • Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, and incident reports

  • Communicate with care staff to ensure timely pickup and drop-off

  • Observe and report any changes in a client’s condition or behavior during transit

Qualifications:

  • Valid California Driver’s License with a clean driving record

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • CPR/First Aid certification (preferred)

  • Previous experience transporting seniors or individuals with disabilities (preferred)

  • Patience, reliability, and strong interpersonal skills

  • Ability to lift, support, or assist elderly passengers with mobility challenges

  • Knowledge of local roads and basic vehicle maintenance

  • Must pass background check, drug screening, and TB test (per facility requirements)
